Every flicker of a Green Olive Candle is a tribute to my beloved Grandmother. As a child, I was enchanted by the constant glow and soft light of her candles. I started making candles in her honor. I like to think she's watching over me, laughing when I get frustrated, and sharing my joy when a candle turns out just right.

My grandparents were my world growing up. My abuelita taught me the essentials. My abuelito was my rock, my father figure and my partner in crime. One day, while I was munching on a piece sweet bread, one of his roosters decided it wanted a piece. I ran for my life, dropping the bread to distract the rooster. My Grandpa, doubled over with laughter, said I reminded him of Popeye's girlfriend, Olive Oyl. From that day on, I was his Olive Oyl.

That's how Green Olive Candles was born - out of love, laughter, and a wild rooster chase. Every candle we make carries a piece of that story, a piece of my abuelita, and a piece of my abuelito's humor. We hope our candles bring as much joy to your home as they do to ours.
